How these numbers work
Northstar is fictional. This fixed snapshot uses synthetic records through 22 October 2026. Amounts are BRL and stored as integer cents. The 8% tax rate is illustrative.
Sales and margin
Net merchandise sales are fulfilled goods invoiced during the chosen dates, less merchandise credit notes issued during those dates. Tax and shipping are excluded. Gross margin subtracts the recorded product cost and restores that cost only for restockable returns. Shipping costs and overhead are outside this demo.
Cash and receivables
Net cash collected is payments received less refunds paid during the chosen dates. Open receivables start from invoices issued during the chosen dates, then deduct all credits and net customer payments through the snapshot. Credits reduce the latest installment first; payments net of refunds settle the oldest first. An installment is overdue when its unpaid balance is positive and its due date precedes the snapshot.
Orders and stock
Stalled orders are processing or partly fulfilled orders whose expected fulfillment date has passed. Low stock means on-hand units are at or below a product's reorder point. On-hand stock is opening stock, less fulfilled units, plus restockable returns.
Filters
Date, customer, region, and representative filters apply to their related transactions. Product selection narrows sales, margin, credits, and stock. Payments, refunds, invoice balances, and order status remain invoice or order level. Payment allocations are recorded for auditability but do not claim that cash collection can be attributed to a product.
